This limited edition timepiece is within a collection to commemorate the 145th Anniversary of the beginnings of Seiko as a Tokyo clock and watch repair shop in 1881.

It features a dial colour known as ‘Edo Murasaki’, or ‘Edo Purple’, which is a traditional Japanese colour that symbolises hope for the future, and the refined beauty of the Edo period in Tokyo. Under a dual-curved sapphire glass is a solar cell dial with a purple horizontal embossed design, inspired by the twilight sky with purple hues. With gold-coloured accents, the bracelet is crafted from titanium and ceramic. It features a limited edition engraving on the case back.

The watch is powered by the Seiko in-house built 5X calibre with advanced functionality – every component in the GPS module has been re-engineered to make it faster and more intuitive than ever. Just three seconds are needed to advance 14 hours from Tokyo to New York time, thanks to the system that moves hour, minute, and second hand independently.

The functions allow easy adjustment to Daylight Saving Time and give the wearer the ability to switch the main dial instantly from home to local time and vice versa.
