This timepiece is inspired by Seiko’s, and Japan’s, first ever wristwatch – the 1913 ‘Laurel’ – it pays homage to the original design, as well as Seiko’s watchmaking heritage.

Under a dual-curve sapphire crystal glass, the lustrous white enamel dial features a subdial at 6 o’clock. In the same font as the original Laurel, the dial has an Arabic numeral layout. The 12 o’clock index in red is a nod to the iconic red accents of the original, a pocketwatch feature to help the user quickly identify the top of the dial. The design aims to portray the elegance and heritage of Japanese watchmaking. The LWG sustainable stitched black leather strap gives the watch a vintage aesthetic.

This compact timepiece is powered by an in-house built 6R5H movement that is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a power reserve of 72 hours.
