About Cookies

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to increase a user’s operability on the websites. The law states that we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this website. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission. This website uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third party services. Users who have provided consent to us can at any time change or withdraw their consent on our websites. Learn more about who we are, how you can contact us and how we process personal data in our Website Privacy Policy.

GOOGLE ADVANCED CONSENT MODE V2

We have implemented Google Consent Mode Advanced Version v2 on our website. This is a significant update that aims to boost user privacy and data compliance. It’s an interface that tells Google what consent the website user has given for using cookies.

In the Advanced Consent Mode, even if a user doesn’t consent to data collection, our site will fire anonymised tracking tags before the user interacts with our cookie banner. This allows so-called “cookieless pings” to be sent to Google even if the user does not consent. These pings contain data such as:

  • Timestamp
  • Referrer user agent
  • Signals about ad-click information in the URL (e.g. GCLID)
  • Information on the consent status
  • Information on the CMP
  • Random numbers generated during page load

This enables us to recover certain amounts of non-identifiable anonymous data for Google Ads and Google Analytics 4, even without the data subject’s consent. Please note that this data is non-identifying and aggregated.

Purposes of Cookies

We use cookies on our websites to collect anonymous and aggregated information for the purpose of understanding how you use our websites and improving the structures and contents of our websites. Cookies are also used to create statistical materials regarding the operation of our websites and investigate the causes of unauthorised access.

In line with this, our use of cookies, particularly for analytics and marketing, is governed by Google Advanced Consent Mode V2. This allows us to process aggregated and non-personal information. This approach helps us to improve the user experience on our websites while ensuring that your personal privacy preferences are respected.

Types of Cookies

Cookies we use are categorised as “session cookies” or “persistent cookies”. Session cookies are stored in your computer only temporarily while you are browsing our websites. Persistent cookies are stored even after you stop browsing our websites and remain on your computer until they expire or you delete them. Cookies are classified into the following types depending on their functions and providers.

Strictly necessary cookies: These cookies are essential for the websites to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the websites will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

Performance cookies: These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our websites. They help us to know which webpages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the websites. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our websites and will not be able to monitor their performance.

Social Media cookies: These cookies enable you to make it easier to access social networks and online social tools by sharing comments, ratings, webpages, bookmarks, and help.

Targeting cookies: These cookies may be set on our websites by us or our partner companies and service providers. They may be used by those partner companies or by us to build, by combining with other information as necessary, a profile of your interests and show adverts relevant to you on our websites or other websites. They do not store directly personal information but function based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

In line with our commitment to your privacy, we use Google Advanced Consent Mode V2 for managing these targeting cookies based on your consent choices. This technology allows us to respect your personal consent preferences for cookies that tailor advertising to your interests, ensuring a personalised browsing experience while upholding your privacy and data protection rights. Your consent decisions directly impact how these cookies are processed and the type of targeted advertising you may receive on our site.

Functional Cookies: These cookies enable the websites to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our webpages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.

Third-party cookies

Whether a cookie is a first or third party cookie depends on which websites the cookie comes from. First party cookies are those set by or on behalf of the websites visited. All other cookies are third party cookies. Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be performance and analytical cookies.

Storage Period of Cookies

Except for strictly necessary cookies, each cookie will expire after the storage period specified in the table in the “Cookies used on our websites” section below.
