This limited edition Seiko Presage Classic Series watch is created in collaboration with the Tomioka Silk Promotion Organisation, established in 2021 to protect and preserve the sericulture silk farming industry in Japan’s Tomioka region, home to the World Heritage Site of Tomioka Silk Mill. A proportion of sales of this model will be donated to the organisation, supporting the preservation of Japanese silk production.

The dial features a dramatic wave-pattern inspired by the smooth lustre of silk fabric, with a pearl-painted finish capturing the delicate texture of ‘Gunma-Hoso’ silk- a premium-grade raw silk and speciality of the Tomioka region. Its ‘Shironeri’ colour is the pure white of whitened silk before dyeing. The rose gold-coloured case and knurled bezel enhance the refined whiteness of the dial. Paired with a dark brown sustainable LWG certified leather strap which echoes the red-brick charm of the Tomioka Silk Mill, the watch is presented with a genuine silk pocket square made from locally produced Tomioka silk. The case features a super-hard coating and anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass.

Water resistant to 100m, the caseback carries a limited edition engraving. The watch is powered by the in-house 6R51 automatic calibre, accurate to +25/-15 seconds per day with a 45-hour power reserve.
