The dial of this Seiko Presage Classic Series watch is inspired by the Japanese art of silk dyeing. Its colour, ‘Sakura Iro,’ is a light pink representing the delicate petals of the cherry blossom – one of Japan’s most beloved natural symbols. The unique beauty of the silk weave is captured through a careful rendering of its texture on the dial, harmoniously paired with delicate colour tones. A series of concentric grooves with varying widths creates a unique radial shimmer that shifts with the light, embodying the Japanese aesthetic of ‘beauty in utility;’ making useful also beautiful.

The curved hands and indices are designed to reflect light in an impressive way, matching the dial’s surface so that the entire dial works as one cohesive canvas. The case has a smooth curve that feels familiar and instinctively touchable. It is paired with a sustainable leather strap certified by the Leather Working Group, recognising responsible and sustainable leather manufacturing. The case features a super-hard coating, and the anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass ensures clarity in any light.

Water resistant to 100m, the watch is powered by the in-house 6R51 automatic calibre, accurate to +25/-15 seconds per day with a 45-hour power reserve.
