This timepiece is one of three limited editions exclusively available in the UK from the Seiko London Boutique on New Bond Street, with only 500 pieces of each style being sold worldwide.
These are the first releases from what was originally a concept project for Seiko watch designers – ‘The Power Design’ project, focussed on the brand’s constant innovation and creativity in the future of watchmaking. In 2023, Seiko designers Yuga Suganuma and Yuka Aihara presented a design known as ‘TISSE our time’ inspired by the 1984 TISSE watches.
Worn like an accessory, the ‘TISSE’ was originally made possible by the development of an ultra-small movement, allowing for a very small diameter of just 20.2mm. This jewellery-style watch has a bracelet-like look, designed to be loose-fitting and comfortable to wear. The bracelet has different faceting on the 6 o’clock side from the 12 o’clock side, whilst seamlessly connecting to the watch case. Understated yet refined, it has a simple dial with only 4 hour markers. The stainless steel silver-coloured bracelet and dial are water resistant up to 30 metres, and it features a deployment clasp.
