First introduced in 1969, the Speedtimer was a major innovation milestone in Seiko’s watchmaking heritage – the world’s first automatic chronograph with vertical clutch and column wheel. This new level of accuracy set the technical standard for high-performance stopwatches.

The colour scheme of this latest Speedtimer timepiece is inspired by the neo-classic cars of the 70s, known as ‘young-timers.’With its super-hard coating, the flowing case shape of this model first featured in the 1972 famous Seiko ‘Panda.’ Under curved sapphire glass, the petrol blue dial is encircled by a countdown timer with strong Lumibrite coating on the inner-ring reference triangle for clarity.

Compact and comfortable, this Speedtimer has a diameter of 39.5mm, and a water resistance of 200m. It is paired with a sustainable LWG-approved leather strap featuring an embossed pattern, inspired by vintage car interiors.
The in-house built 6R55 automatic calibre is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with advanced shock protection and an impressive 72 hour (three day) power reserve. It has a date calendar complication at 4.5 o’clock.
