Description
This timepiece is only available from selected boutiques worldwide – in the UK exclusively from our New Bond Street boutique and official online boutique.
This new release emphasises the recognisable classic KSK style and the strong green dial colour is inspired by the regal jade stone. Jade is the national stone of Japan, and is traditionally a symbol of wealth and power – being used in religious and imperial rituals.
In the 1960s, King Seiko timepieces led Seiko Watch Corporation’s developments in world-leading technical precision, along with Grand Seiko. ‘King Seiko’ originated when multiple Seiko factories created different watches to encourage innovation – one of the Japanese watch brand’s constant aims.
Within the KSK series, this new timepiece sees the introduction of three new larger hands. It has a new 6R55 calibre, which has an improved three-day power reserve. This piece has an increased watch case diameter than previous King Seiko designs, from 37mm to 39mm.
Long live the new King Seiko: modernised elite watchmaking, yet its stately, dignified and majestically classic looks remain.
