This new Seiko Astron design is inspired by Tokyo cityscape at night, illuminated by modern and futuristic neon lights. The watch features our Calibre 5x, with highly advanced functionality.

To enhance the speed and quality of the GPS connection, every component in the GPS module has been re-engineered. The operation of the 5X calibre is also faster and more intuitive than ever. For example, only three seconds are needed to advance 14 hours from Tokyo to New York time, thanks to the system that moves hour, minute, and second hand independently. The functions allow easy adjustment to Daylight Saving Time and give the wearer the ability to switch the main dial instantly from home to local time and vice versa. When a time zone adjustment is required, all it takes is a simple push of a button and the hands move faster than ever to the exact local time.

Whilst acknowledging its heritage externally, the interior design of this watch is forward-looking through its advanced watchmaking technology. This series takes its style influence from the world’s first ever Quartz watch – the Seiko 1969 Astron – with a similar curved silhouette case and thin bezel.
