Description
This timepiece is from the Japanese Seasons collection – designs inspired by the twenty four ‘Sekki’ or seasons in Japan; since ancient times these changes in the weather and nature have been incorporated into Japanese daily life. The dial of this watch is inspired by early Springtime in Japan when mountain cherry blossom naturally blooms and everything feels pure and bright.
‘The Nature of Time’ theme features prominently in Grand Seiko watch designs – a Japanese spirituality where each moment is a unique expression unveiled through light and shadow. The watchmakers’ pride in their surroundings is represented from engineering watch movements which emulate the smooth motion of time passing, to creating dials reflecting the beauty of Japanese nature.
This model is powered by the 9S86 Mechanical movement; sophisticated watchmaking innovation through its precision controlling mainspring, the hairspring, and the escapement. Together the movement showcases the power and dynamism of the Mechanical Hi-Beat 36,000.
Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans. Grand Seiko: beautifully, precise Japanese watchmaking, from the pinnacle of Seiko Watch Corporation’s in-house ‘manufacture.’
