Description
A modern re-interpretation of the very first Grand Seiko created in 1960.
Incorporating a clear exhibition caseback to demonstrate the movement for the first time. The main case is in Brilliant Hard Titanium, exclusive to Grand Seiko, as light as pure titanium but twice as hard as stainless steel and highly resistant to scratches. Its colour is brighter than other forms of titanium used for Grand Seiko and allows the Zaratsu polished surfaces to stand out even more prominently.
The model is a remarkable blend of slimness, efficiency and precision: the case just 10.9mm in depth, the power reserve 72 hours and the accuracy rate is +5 to -3 seconds per day, the hour and minute hands carefully curved to follow the contour of the dual-curved sapphire crystal. Manual winding movement.
Grand Seiko: the relentless quest for precise timekeeping from the pinnacle of Seiko Watch Corporation’s in-house manufacture. With leading watchmaking, durability and legibility, every Grand Seiko is still handmade in Japan by elite craftsmen and women.
